Trainer scheme terms

The scheme

Christopher Newell ("we") runs a referral scheme for personal trainers and coaches ("you"). You are given a code. People who subscribe to LiftSets Pro using your code get a discount, and you earn commission.

What your clients get

10% off their first year of LiftSets Pro, on top of the 7-day free trial. The discount is applied by Apple.

What you earn

• 20% of what we receive from each payment a referred subscriber makes in their first 12 months.
• What we receive is the price paid, less any sales tax or VAT included in it, less Apple's commission.
• Nothing is earned on free trials, on payments that are refunded, or after the first 12 months.
• Your statement shows each client as a reference with their plan, the month they joined, and whether they are in the trial, subscribed, cancelled or gone. It never shows who they are.
• A subscriber counts as yours if they enter your code in the app before or within 21 days of first subscribing. The first trainer code a subscriber enters is the one that counts.

Being paid

• Statements are worked out monthly. Payment is made the month after, to allow for refunds.
• Payment is by bank transfer once you are owed £20 or more. Smaller amounts carry over.
• You are responsible for declaring the income and for any tax on it.
• If a payment is refunded after you were paid for it, the amount comes off your next statement.

Telling people you earn from it

This is the law, not a courtesy. When you recommend LiftSets and give your code, you must make clear that you earn commission. Say "Ad" at the start of any post, story or video, and tell clients in person. Giving a discount code does not count as telling them.

What you must not do

• Use your own code on your own subscription, or arrange for others to do so to earn commission.
• Make claims about results, health or medical benefit that LiftSets does not make itself.
• Send bulk or unsolicited messages, or bid on the LiftSets name in paid search adverts.
• Present yourself as employed by or speaking for LiftSets.
• Offer money or rewards in return for App Store ratings or reviews.

Your details

We hold your name, email address, code and bank details to run the scheme and pay you. We do not tell you who your referred subscribers are, only how many there are and what they paid. See the privacy policy.

Ending it

You can leave at any time by emailing support@liftsetsapp.com. We can end your place in the scheme, or the scheme as a whole, with 30 days' notice, or at once if these terms are broken. Commission earned up to that point is still paid.

Changes and law

We may change the rate or these terms with 30 days' notice. Changes do not affect commission already earned. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
